Jill’s Spinach Raspberry Flaxseed Oil Shake~ As seen on Dr. OZ

I have had about 30 emails in the past few days asking for my shake recipe so I said I would post it at the top! To good health!

Jill’s Spinach Raspberry Flaxseed Oil Shake~As seen on Dr. OZ ~ Click Here to Watch


Serves 4

2 cups fresh or frozen Raspberry’s
1 container of strawberry low fat yogurt.
1/4 cup orange juice
1 handful of fresh spinach. You and your kids wont even taste the spinach. It’s the only way I can get my 8 yr old to get in his veggies.  He  really has a hard time with the texture of most vegetables so thank heavens for this smoothie!!
8 baby carrots
2 scoops of vanilla or strawberry protein powder of your choice.
For a healthy twist add 2 teaspoons of flaxseed oil. You wont even taste it. There is also a beauty tip using flaxseed oil. It is great for making beautiful hair, skin and nails.
1/4 cup of dry oatmeal
2 teaspoon of wheat germ

Combine all ingredients in blender with a small amount of ice until smooth and serve. :-)

    Jill…Great shake. One question will the ‘value’ of the shake change if I only use strawberries vs raspberries?? I don’t llike the seeds from the raspberries…

      I know it’s a little less in calories but I use strawberries too because they are cheaper. Dr OZ loved it with the raspberries that is why they were featured on the show. I think the flavor is still so yummy with strawberries just different. Enjoy. During the summer when they are in season I use fresh strawberries and more then I do in the winter when i use the frozen. Fresh just taste so good.

      Really any protein powder will do. Walmart even carries them. Look for one low in carbs sometimes under 5gm, also they run about 120 calories per scoop.

      The one at walmart is Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey Protein Powder Strawberry, 2 lb you can use strawberry or vanilla either one would work. :-)

      The hard days come for sure… I pray alot during a hard day I also force myself to get to a fitness class. Also when my asthma has been so bad and I can’t exercise for days I write in my journal because I find it so frustrating when I am so sick.     this is the most amazing shake in the world. I am down 14 pounds in 3 weeks. I am eating lot’s of veggies raw and having your shake in the morn.     I like to write a little comment to support you. I found your shake on pinterest my favorite half time and I tried it with my nutra bullet. It was very yummy!! I used it for 2 weeks and lost 5 pounds. I am continuing it. I may lack fiber because I don’t really care for vegetables but you cant taste the spinach and that was a big plus for me.Losing 100 pounds was not easy. It takes a lot of work and determination. Holidays are the toughest time of the year for most people. In the 37 days between Thanks giving to New Years day people on a average gain 10 pounds. You have to decide now how you are going to eat during the holidays. Have a plan so you don’t gain weight.
